Call for Submissions: Finding Joy and Solidarity in the
New England Anthropocene
Flooded Pine Press, founded in the wake of the 2024 turn toward far-right politics in the United States, gathers and circulates essays that imagine local and regional actions for a livable tomorrow. We, the editors, are based in what is now New Hampshire and Maine and use our positions as graduate students to punch up to power and privilege in our home communities. We believe in a ferment of critical thought and relations that applies pressure at key points in our systems of power and collaborates toward the creation of joyful futures.
